Burnside Dental Practice has years of experience with Ceramic and Crown Fillings. The purpose of Dental Crowns and Ceramic Fillings is to restore a tooth’s function and strength as well as its beauty. At Burnside Dental Practice in Adelaide, we apply the CEREC™ system which completes the dental crown or filling in one sitting. This means fewer injections, fewer drillings, and more time saved in your schedule. If you have older fillings with multiple cracks, this may be a better solution for you.
The dentists at Burnside Dental Practice and Implant Centre will examine your tooth to see if the dental crown, or cosmetic filling, will serve you best. Using cutting-edge technology, we strive to make sure you will receive the satisfaction you are after. Do not wait for your tooth to break before you have it capped.
Using cutting edge technology, CAD/CAM dentistry can offer you restorations that will feel, and look, great. They can also restore your natural teeth to their natural strength and function. The procedure involves one of our experienced dentists examining the tooth and determining the most appropriate treatment plan for you. The dentist will administer an anaesthetic and prepare your tooth for the restoration, removing any decayed or weakened tooth tissue. This procedure is similar to what you might experience in many other restorative procedures.
If this is a procedure that you’re interested in learning more about, please contact our friendly staff in Adelaide through our enquiry form. Our experienced dentists are more than happy to answer any questions you have.
The CEREC™ machine helps the dentist create the restoration for your tooth. The CEREC™ 3D software takes a digital picture and converts it into a 3-dimensional virtual model. Our team of experienced dentists then design the dental crown restoration using the CEREC™ 3D computer program.
Within a few minutes, a click of a button sedans the restoration design data to a separate milling machine in our office. Then, about 10-20 minutes later, your all-ceramic, tooth-coloured restoration is finished and ready to be bonded into place.
Your dentist in Adelaide will test the dental crown restoration in your mouth to ensure a proper fit and bite. Then it’s polished and bonded to the prepared tooth. Your tooth is then restored, and no “temporary” or return trips are necessary. The entire procedure can be done in a single appointment.
